Lynn Buerki Memorial Conservation Award Fund
Lynn Buerki, known as "Mr. Conservation," began serving on the Conservation District board at age 19 in January of 1952. Devoted to conservation practices, especially tree planting, he served on the Board for 62 years . During that time, he planted over 500,000 bare root trees in Sedgwick County. To honor his legacy, a scholarship fund was established in June of 2020. To contribute to this fund, please mail a check to the Conservation District and note Lynn Buerki Memorial in the memo.
