Type of project: Cover crops
​We are offering cost share incentives for producers who are interested in implementing cover crops on a small scale (78 acres or less). This is a single cover crop payment of $25/acre and must utilize a single species or seed mix in accordance with NRCS standards and specifications. Landowners are eligible to apply for up to 78 acres.
Landowners or operators are eligible to receive cost-share assistance on Cover Crops for two consecutive years.
Producers interested in multi-year cover crops, as part of a no till system, should contact the NRCS office at 316-721-6127 to discuss a possible EQIP contract.
